The Jordan Royal Film Commission and INA are running a remote writing workshop from December 7 to 23, 2020 in support of 12 documentary projects selected by the Commission. The twelve project leaders will be divided into three groups, each assisted by an expert trainer from INA for five days of online workshops interspersed with individual work sessions to help develop the projects.
Jean-Claude Mocik, INA's head of professional training in design, writing and directing; Caroline Pochon, a documentary filmmaker and television and cinema screenwriter and Michel Daëron, also a documentary filmmaker, will support the project leaders throughout the workshop. The educational content and methodology will be adapted to suit the type of project and their progress. The workshop will alternate between theoretical input, individual interviews and presentations by the project leaders.
This collaboration between INA and the Jordan Royal Film Commission began in 2019 when a training course was set up in Amman on the technical and artistic aspects of editing. The partnership is supported and funded by the French Embassy in Jordan.
